Please be aware that on this website, Google Analytics has been expanded with IP anonymization to ensure IP addresses are recorded anonymously. Google Ads and conversion tracking
If you have granted us your consent, the Google Ads web analytics service will be used on this website, including conversion tracking. This is a service provided by Google LLC, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
A “conversion” in this sense is a transformation process. Such a transformation will take place, for instance, if you click on one of our ads after viewing it and are taken to our website or sign up for our newsletter while you are visiting our website. In these examples, you are “transformed” from the viewer of an ad to a visitor of our website or, as appropriate, from a visitor to a newsletter subscriber.
We use Google Ads and conversion tracking to draw attention to our products and services on external websites using advertising material (the “Google Ads”). We can determine the success of individual advertising measures based on the data from our advertising campaigns. In so doing, we are pursuing an interest in showing you advertising that is of interest to you, in making our website more interesting for you and thus in obtaining a fair calculation of our advertising costs.
The advertising material is supplied by Google (via “ad servers”). We use ad server cookies for this purpose, which allow certain parameters for determining success to be measured, such as displaying ads or clicks by users. If you are taken to our website via a Google ad, Google Ads will store a cookie on your device. These cookies generally expire after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally.
These cookies allow Google to recognize your web browser. If a user visits certain pages of an Ads customer's website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer will be able to see that the user has clicked on the ad and been taken to this page. A different cookie is assigned to each Ads customer. This means that cookies cannot be tracked via Ads customers’ websites. We do not collect or process any personal data through these advertising measures ourselves and are only provided with statistical analyses by Google. These analyses allow us to identify which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any other data from the use of the advertising material and, in particular, are not able to identify users based on this information.
If you click on an ad displayed by Google, the conversion tracker that we use will store a cookie on your device. If you visit a certain page on our website, both we and Google will be able to see that you have clicked on an ad that we had placed with Google and that you were subsequently taken to our website.
Google generates statistics for us on visits to our website based on the information obtained in this way. This also gives us information on the number of users that have clicked on our ad(s) and on the pages of our website that were subsequently accessed. This information is used to produce statistics for Ads customers that have opted for conversion tracking. The customers, i.e. we as website operators, find out the total number of users who have clicked on their ad and were directed to a page on which a conversion tracking tag has been activated.
The legal basis for using Google Ads is your consent, which is given freely.
