RENA wins tender at Silicon Austria Labs in Villach
- Won tender for a metal liftoff/resist strip wet process equipment and associated chemical supply cabinets
- RENA’s semi-automated Revolution System for semiconductor production, for surface preparation of direct wafer bonding
- Acquisition within the funded project "POLITUR - Platform for surface preparation of direct wafer bonding for new applications in integrated quantum photonics and telecommunication".
Within a public tender of the research center Silicon Austria Labs (SAL) in Villach, Austria, RENA Technologies successfully offered its Revolution platform. On 22.12.2022 SAL announced that the order for the new procurement of a chemical wet bench was decided in favor of RENA Technologies GmbH.
The Revolution, a machine for semi-automated, wet-chemical processing of semiconductor wafers, will be purchased as part of the funded project "POLITUR - Platform for surface preparation of direct wafer bonding for new applications in integrated quantum photonics and telecommunications" (KWF - Kärntner Wirtschaftsförderungs-Fonds).

The project focuses on the expansion of the infrastructural equipment of the Silicon Austria Labs site in Villach in order to promote highly innovative research on the one hand, and small batch production in the field of semiconductor processing and microfabrication on the other. In addition to the machine, RENA is also responsible for on-site logistics and installation.
